Notice to Macomb County Prosecutor
Please use this form to notify the Macomb County Prosecuting Attorney of dates and times at which police witnesses will not be available for hearings or other case-related events. The Prosecutor's Office may use this information to contact the court to request adjournment of hearings or trials, as needed.

If you will be unavailable for an upcoming trial, please also contact the assistant prosecutor directly regarding the possibility of proactively seeking an adjournment from the respective court(s).

What this form does: Gives the APA the opportunity to proactively seek a court hearing adjournment ahead of time, if the unavailable officer is required, but is unavailable for a scheduled hearing.

What this form does not do: This does not guarantee there will be no court date conflicts - there will still be court hearings scheduled by the court for dates an officer is unavailable. The court controls the court's docket. However, the unavailability form process at least provides an opportunity for the APA to try to reduce (and possibly eliminate) unexpected, last-minute adjournment requests.
